Sam: Educated in a school for problem kids, under his brother, Jack¡¦s influence he developed a strong interest in dance. When he grew up, he gave up dancing to become a martial arts director for films. Sam feels he has always owed Jack since Jack was forced to quit dancing after injuring his legs in an accident. After getting to know a group of street-dancing kids, Sam actually realizes that he hasn¡¦t forgotten about dance. After returning to dance, Sam¡¦s stiff relationship with Jack finally softens.
Durian: Big brother to a mute boy named Kenny. He is almost 18 years old and loves street dancing almost as much as his little brother. He works at several part-time jobs to keep the family going, protecting his brother and mother. Durian and Money are lovers but they do not want to irritate Kenny, so they never show their love in front of him. After Jim gets involved in this triangle, Durian and Jim are at odds, reinforcing the brotherly love between Durian and Kenny.
Money: Seventeen years old, she is a very talented dancer. She comes from a middle-class family and is in love with Durian while looking after the mute Kenny, who falls in love with her. Money is kind-hearted, while Durian loves his handicapped little brother. The lovers don¡¦t want to disturb him, so they keep their love secret. When Jim intrudes, Durian and Money¡¦s hidden love dissolves, forcing Money to face two jealous brothers.
Jim: Seventeen years old, he is a student at a school for problem kids. He¡¦s crazy about street dancing. However, his enthusiasm for dance is severely hampered by his older brother. He meets Money in a dance battle and starts to pursue her, coming into conflict with Durian.
